CHICAGO OPERA THEATER IS LOOKING FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN PERFORMING AS A SUPERNUMERARY IN PHILIP GLASS' THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER AT THE HARRIS THEATER.
Supernumerary role: "Servant", "Townsperson"
Description: A non-singing, non-speaking ensemble of 8 men between approximately 20-30 years of age and of average height and build.*
Compensation: $500 Honorarium
Commitment: Candidates must be available for all rehearsals and performances as outlined below:
Rehearsals: Fine Arts Building, 410 S Michigan Ave, 10th Floor
Thursday, February 14 - 6:00-9:00pm
Friday, February 15 - 6:00-8:00pm
Saturday, February 16 - 6:00-9:00pm
Rehearsal and Performances: Harris Theater, 205 E Randolph
Monday, February 18 - 1:45-4:45pm, 6:45-9:45pm
Tuesday, February 19 - 1:45-5:45pm
Orchestra Dress - Wednesday, February 20 - 5:45-9:45pm
Final Dress - Thursday, February, 21 - 7:00pm Call
Performance #1 - Saturday, February 23; 7:00pm Call
Performance #2 - Sunday, February 24; 2:30pm Call
Performance #3 - Wednesday, February 27; 7:00pm Call
Performance #4 - Friday, March 1; 7:00pm Call
Theater Experience Preferred, But Not Required In Order To Participate!
*Performers should be comfortable with physical movements (pushing, pulling, lurching, lifting), as well as assisting in the movement of large set elements throughout the 95-minute production.
