Peter Harrison's design work spans opera, theatre, and television. Recent opera credits include the world premiere of Miss Lonelyhearts at the Juilliard School L'incoronazione di Poppea for Central City Opera and Powder Her Face for USC Opera. Other opera credits include the United States premieres of Britten's Gloriana and Massenet's Le Jongleur de Notre Dame for Central City Opera, as well as Death in Venice for Chicago Opera Theater. For New York City Opera, he designed Little Women, which toured to Japan as U.S. cultural representative to the EXPO 2005 World's Fair. Mr. Harrison has also designed for Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Virginia Opera, Opera Pacific, Long Beach Opera, American Music Theatre Festival, Opera Festival of New Jersey, Connecticut Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Cleveland Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Kentucky Opera, Long Beach Opera, Skylight Opera, Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, and Opera Nordfjord in Norway. Theatre credits include Manhattan Theatre Club, Roundabout Theatre, Williamstown Festival, Goodspeed Opera, and McCarter Theatre. Television projects include Sizwe Bansi is Dead for PBS and John Leguizamo's Mambo Mouth for HBO. He has been nominated for the American Theatre Wing Design Award and the Barrymore Award. Mr. Harrison is currently designing the upcoming world premiere of Anthony Davis' opera Wakonda's Dream for Opera Omaha in the spring of 2007.
