Opera Underground Executive Council
The Chicago Opera Theater Opera Underground Executive Council is an exclusive group of individuals ages 21-45 who are committed to audience development and awareness of Chicago Opera Theater (COT) among young professionals. The Executive Council is responsible for recruitment of new Opera Underground subscribers and Executive Council members as well as garnering interest in COT and additional Opera Underground events and initiatives. The Opera Underground Executive Council is the perfect opportunity for Chicago young professionals to gain leadership roles, networking contacts and arts appreciation. Be a founding member of this new and exciting group, and fill out the application today!
Membership
Executive Council Members will have the following :
- A desire to be an advocate for Chicago Opera Theater including a commitment to bringing new people to COT
- An Opera Underground Membership to be purchased by the 2011 Spring Season (includes preshow reception and A seating)
- A responsibility to pay $50 in dues (includes admission to two Opera Underground events and discounts to exclusive events)
- A responsibility to make a tax deductible contribution of $75
- An interest in attending quarterly meetings
Benefits
Executive Council Members will be entitled to these benefits:
- Join select Committees of the Board of Directors as an active participant with noted professional and social Chicago leaders
- Receive invitations to attend exclusive Chicago Opera Theater events not open to the general public such as private receptions at homes of Board Members
- Recognition on COT’s website and in the program as OUEC (founding) members
- Receive an invitation for two to the annual Season Preview
- Gain access to Chicago Opera Theater’s Donor Room during the season with complimentary wine, “Opera-tinis” and appetizers
- Additional benefits determined by founding members
Under the leadership of the Executive Council, Opera Underground is Chicago Opera Theater’s young professionals club that combines two of our favorite things – socializing and opera! COT is a young, vibrant, edgy and contemporary opera company – a perfect fit for young Chicago!
