A MOZART MASTERPIECE.
While absent from Chicago for more than a generation, this towering tour de force has made a resurgence in the rest of the world, most notably at New York's Metropolitan Opera and the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center.The New York Times declared, "Clemenza emerges as a musically ravishing and dramatically complex opera of great immediacy.”
Jane Glover, one of the world's most revered Mozart interpreters, conducts her eighth opera for Chicago Opera Theater. And director Christopher Alden, who has staged ground-breaking productions in every major opera house around the globe, makes his Chicago Opera Theater debut. (Sung in Italian with English supertitles).
