Auditions
The Program is open to young singers who are completing their vocal studies and ready to embark upon a career. Applicants must be American citizens, hold a green card or have the right to work in the U.S. as part of advanced musical training at a recognized educational institution. There are no age restrictions.
Entry to the Chicago Opera Theater Young Artists Program is by audition. General Director Brian Dickie will hear auditions in several major US cities throughout the year, including New York and Chicago.
Applicants should complete the artist information form on this website and email it to Chicago Opera Theater along with their detailed resumé (including headshot) and CD recording. PLEASE NOTE THAT AUDITIONS HAVE CONCLUDED FOR THE 2008 SEASON. Any materials submitted will be kept on file and reviewed before next season’s auditions.
