Coming to Chicago Opera Theater with over five years of professional experience in writing, education, and development, Liz’s work is centered around a curiosity for artistic innovation and a belief in the importance of the arts in our communities.

Liz has held a variety of roles across the arts and education landscape, shaping a unique perspective on how to engage and grow arts audiences. Most recently, Liz has supported organizations in a consulting capacity, helping to refine program outcomes and improve grant reporting practices. Her previous experience includes managing individual giving and special events at the Merit School of Music, serving as an English instructor in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, and leading research and editorial work as Chief Editor of Research for the Arts Management & Technology Laboratory. In that role, she authored and edited numerous articles exploring the evolving relationship between the arts and technology.

Liz holds a Master of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Music from Allegheny College. Her academic background informs her approach to development strategy—leveraging both quantitative and qualitative research to frame compelling reports, streamline internal processes, and design innovative donor engagement initiatives.
